Immediately after the establishment of PEF, we began conducting community visits and fact-finding campaigns in the three border provinces of Southern Thailand, building trust with grassroots partners that we continue to work with today. Informed by continual analysis with friends in the Deep South, we decided to set our current priorities on improving economic security of families affected by conflict and on facilitating knowledge exchanges for community-based peace initiatives.
